Ham Propolisi ham haliyle doğrudan tükettiğimizde, vücudumuzda sindirilme oranı yalnızca %2’dir. Bu sebeple, ham propolisin mutlaka ekstrakte edilmesi, bir başka deyişle özütlenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu işlem uzmanlık gerektiren bir işlem olup, gıda mühendisleri kontrolünde yapılmalıdır. %20 oranında saf propolis içerir. Propolis miktarı standardize edilmiştir.
